I'm officially a Rizzo!

Only 99 days until the Wedding!!! It's hard to believe that we've been engaged for 2 years already. When we first picked our date back in the spring of 2006, people wondered why we were waiting so long. Now when I tell people we're getting married in June, I get a much different response: "wow! That's really coming up quick!" NO? Really? Strange how the time seems to fly by faster and faster as the date approaches.

It's sad, but there's not much room for anything else. It'll be nice to have a hobby again after the wedding. And maybe more time to write on here. :0)

I've been meaning to write about this for a while now. I had the amazing opportunity to meet with the woman who run Spirited Sisters (www.spirited-sisters.com). They created Healing Threads, which they refer to as "hospital gown alternatives". These are garments that can be worn for to doctors visits, chemo, radiation, or dialysis treatments. They allow for easy access by doctors and nurses without having to wear those awful gowns that are often thin and leave your backside exposed.

So I went to graduate school to further my education and get a better job. Well, I graduated 2.5 months ago and I'm still temping at a job you don't even need an undergraduate degree to do making half of what I was making before I went to grad school. Don't get me wrong, I'm greatful to at least have a temp job. But cutting fabric swatches and transcribing course outlines is not really fun or even interesting for me. So if you know anyone who is looking to hire someone with a wide variety of healthcare experience, who isn't a nurse, send them my way!
